CEOs 2020
Strategic Management class is a training for our senior students to take a role as future CEOs. The subject covers topics of establishing corporate vision and mission, doing external and internal audit, setting long term objectives, formulating/implementing and evaluating strategies. Besides lecture they also work on case studies, and did simulation by doing presentation as CEOs defending the strategies they have formulated in one day "proxy corporate board meeting".
It was nice to see my students transformed themselves into proxy CEOs and also acted so professional as well.

MY HRM CLASS AT BARA-NEC
There are only twelve students in my HRM class and ten of them are ladies. This is the first time for me to have my MBA class here in our new campus. Though most of them must struggle to survive the Nairobi traffic jam, my students always showed great enthusiasm when we had our discussions. The two gentlemen are Jones and Dennis, while the ladies are Mary Cheif, Mary Kimari, Joy, Leah, Shiela, Grace, Michieka, Shico, Nyokabi and Joan. We took these pictures after we finished the class session.

Business research and Marketing research projects presentation
Students who take Business research and Marketing research are required to present their research projects in front of panels of three members. As their research teacher I must accompany the students during the preliminary preparation from formulating the statement of the problem, research framework, research objectives, research questions, hypothesis as well as assisted them in the formulation of questionnaires, and data collection. The next steps was assisting the students in writing the research projects. This subject really took almost of my office time..... reading and consulting them.
Helping them set the margin, setting the paper layout, applying APA and using the SSPS are the most common assistance they need, however everyone are relieved after they finished and received their grades.
MBA Program and Secretarial class at the LMS guest house and conference center Nairobi
My wife and I spent about 3 weeks at the LMS guest house in Nairobi. UEAB has an extension program which mostly serve the office workers who need to upgrade their knowledge and skills for their career development. This time I have only eight students in my two MBA classes, while my wife had 8 students in her Key boarding class.
All classes usually started at 17:30 pm and ended at 21:30 every day from Monday to Thursday, and from 9:00 am to 13:00 pm, lunch break, 14:00- 18:00 pm on Sunday.
Seminar for Engwen Youth in Kapsabet
Kenya and US government are working hard to promote the reform and development agenda in the rural area to prevent the youth from participating in unwanted activities such as riot, looting, burning and killing as what has happened during the post-election incidents in January 2008.
I was invited as the main speaker for the program coordinated by the Kapsabet Emgwen Organization. It was a one day seminar about business administration and entrepreneurship. Twenty participants were selected from different leaders of Youth organizations in Kapsabet and Nandy Hills area to participate in this seminar.
