Blessed assurance through Gideon's cloth

Gideon's cloth
God may reveal His presence in many ways, but for us rainbow is always the amazing one.
Today Sunday May 5, 2013 a big surprise has brought peace, assurance and joy within our heart and mind amid the spiritual storm and struggle here in South Africa.
Early morning right after we woke up,
RAINBOW APPEAR RIGHT IN FRONT OUR BEDROOM DOOR

The night before we prayed and asked for His forgiveness if we have done wrong.

We had been very bold and straight forward
with our value as missionary
for the past few weeks
We also had many disagreements and might have caused discomfort to others.
We contemplate, pray and plead His assurance that He approves every decision we made.

This morning
Oh how relieve we are ... Lord Almighty
 with a piece of white cloth
we caught the blessing of Thy assurance,
Lord ...oh my Lord
we have everything in THEE our God

1 O Lord, You have searched me and known me.
2 You know my sitting down and my rising up;
You understand my thought afar off.
3 You comprehend my path and my lying down,
And are acquainted with all my ways.
4 For there is not a word on my tongue,
But behold, O Lord, You know it altogether.
5 You have hedged me behind and before,
And laid Your hand upon me.
6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me;
It is high, I cannot attain it.
7 Where can I go from Your Spirit?
Or where can I flee from Your presence?
8 If I ascend into heaven, You are there;
If I make my bed in hell, behold, You are there.
9 If I take the wings of the morning,
And dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea,
10 Even there Your hand shall lead me,
And Your right hand shall hold me.
11 If I say, “Surely the darkness shall fall on me,”
Even the night shall be light about me (Psalm 139:1-12)

Personal Finance: Seminar for the SDA Stellenbosch students

I was invited by the SDA Stellenbosch University students to give them a seminar on personal finance.
It was a beautiful experience to meet young people from other university.
And despite the audience were only about fifteen students, the students' enthusiasm make our interaction very lively and enjoyable.
We spent two hours discussing all money matter that affect students life as well as sharing our personal testimonies with students who came from Zimbabwe, Malawi, Zambia, DR Congo, and South Africa.
Stellenbosch is one of the best university in Africa. That evening we ended our meeting with delicious refreshment and pictures taking at the student  lobby.

Two little angels

We were surprised by the little knock on our door when the two little cute cupcake sales girl and boy appear in front of us. The boy was so articulate in promoting his products beautiful tiny cup cakes, that we decided to buy them all. The two of them remind us of our children selling klappertaart in AIIAS, while we were studying in the Philippines back in 1996-1999.
 These beautiful cherub faces make us feel so blessed. After all the struggle for adjusting and finishing the first semester, at last God has sent two little angels to brighten our life and mission here in Helderberg.

HAPPY HOLIDAY
MERRY CHRISTMAS AND

Charity progam at Tanko Bosman Primary School

Shoe-box program is a charity program where people donate gifts to needy children in orphanages or schools. We joined the one which was coordinated by Pastor Collin Lawrence from the Helderberg chaplaincy office for the children in a primary school. The school was located along the road to Stellenbosch about fifteen minutes drive from campus called Tanko Bosman Primary school. Unfortunately this will be the last shoe -box program for them because the school will be permanently closed by the end of year 2012.
The following pictures are from the Shoe-box program at Tanko Bosman Primary School, Helderberg Western Cape - South Africa

Bara Red Clay Road

This one is not a road actually, but a wide path way along Baraton Sewer system. I took this pictures during the dry season. One can never imagine how Divine and human plan may achieve, and then present beautiful landscape in a place like sewage area which proposes unacceptable odor to us, but becomes a sanctuary for the birds

IBE team: Evaluation of University of Arusha's graduate programs

 I joined the IBE evaluation team from the GC of SDA with Dr. Mike Lekic, Dr. Andrew Mutero, Prof. Patrick Manu and Michael Caballero MBA for the assessment of University of Arusha's graduate programs. It took me four days land travel from Baraton to Arusha to do the two and half days evaluation. A trip which we enjoyed, though it was very long and tired.
The following pictures are from the evaluation session.
